Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for distributions through Community Action Agencies or food bank member agencies, households must meet established income requirements. ("Income" means gross income before any deductions and includes , but is not limited to: wages, salaries, Social Security, public assistance, or welfare payments, unemployment compensation, pensions, etc.).

TEFAP Household Eligibility Criteria

Participants at soup kitchens do not have to provide proof of income information, as it is assumed that anyone seeking a meal is needy.
